Fundraising Director
Bethesda, Maryland
Description:
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a leading non-profit health care organization dedicated to finding a cure and improving the quality of life for those with CF, is adding a new senior level fundraiser to our growing Metropolitan Washington Office.
Responsibilities: recruit sponsors and event participants, build and manage volunteer core, provide strategic direction and oversee all aspects of fundraising plans, events may include golf tournament, walk-a-thon and gala.
Ideal candidate: 5-7 years non-profit experience with a proven track record of salesmanship and a full range of special events/fundraising experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment and Management
· Recruit qualified volunteers and committee members who have the ability to assist with the Foundation’s fundraising efforts
· Manage volunteers to help them attain their full fundraising potential
· Provide exemplary customer service to all volunteers
Fundraising
· Develop relationships with funders in both the corporate community and with our CF families
· Solicit funds from the corporate sector through written communications and face-to-face meetings
· Work with our families to assist them with their grassroots fundraising efforts
Special Event Management
· Manage events from the earliest planning stages through implementation
· Oversee support staff to ensure that all logistics for an event are executed appropriately
· Ensure that each event meets the highest standards set by the Foundation
