Job Description
Director of Special Events Richmond, Virginia Description: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a leading non-profit health care organization, is seeking an enthusiastic fundraising professional for our Virginia Chapter based in Richmond, VA to implement our Walk Program and other fundraising events. This Director of Special Events will be responsible for the planning and execution of various walks, including recruitment of event participant’s, volunteers, sponsors, committee members and expanding existing support base. Other duties include: solicitation of funds from the corporate sector, management of event budgets and building relationships with CF families. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in non-profit fundraising and special event management; experience in providing strategic direction and practical oversight to a full range of special events such as walks, golf tournaments and black tie events; excellent communication skills and corporate contacts in Richmond and the surrounding areas. This is a unique opportunity to be part of well-established high-profile events in our community.
